The FUQI Auto purchased by Huaxiang Group is established in 1969, changed from a old state-owned military factory. And it starts to manufacturer Jeep in 1985. FUQI Auto established its name in an early time. In the 80s and 90s of last century, it is parallel in name with BEIJING Jeep. Then there is a saying that " BEIJING Jeep in North and FUQI Auto in South"One of its best-seller is FQ6480, once to be called "Masterpiece of Jeep in China".

With Huaxiang support and its own facilities and sophisticated personnel, Huaxiang FUQI Auto has a growing mutual capability in R&D, manufacturing, marketing and selling. And as a view to future, it starts to build its new Auto Manufacturing Park in December of 2003, with a investment of more than RMB 1.5 billion. In its plan, the new factories will have a capacity of manufacturing 30,000 units of SUV and will have a capacity of manufacturing 100,000 units of SUV in 2008.
